Fire & Ice Opening at AZ Gallery
Join us at AZ Gallery as we celebrate winter and the Saint Paul Winter Carnival with Fire & Ice, our first annual Winter Carnival Art Show depicting the beauty of winter and the promise of spring through the themes of fire and ice, organized by the St Paul Art Collective and hosted by the AZ Gallery, 308 Prince St, in Saint Paul’s vibrant Lowertown community.
Featuring over 100 works of art from local Minnesota based artists, the show runs January 12 through February 19, with a special opening reception on Saturday, January 21 from 6 to 10 pm, with a DJ that will feature hot dance music guaranteed to keep everyone moving and temperatures warm. A fire performance by the Minneapolis Fire Collective will be at 7:30 pm and 8:15 pm, and will astound with a spectacular and daring show of fire dances and tricks outside the patio. Ice works will include an ice bar on the Black Dog patio, an ice sculpture and an ice Cornhole bag toss to compete at. The Hammer-Schlagen® team will also be there for all to challenge others and win fun prizes and there will be a virtual diorama of the 1886 Winter Carnival Ice Palace. The Black Dog Restaurant and Bar will concoct and serve delicious warm and cold libations at the Ice Bar. We graciously thank our sponsors: Midway Ford, Apple River Family Campground, the St Paul Winter Carnival and Minnesota Nice Properties.
Gallery hours are Thursday and Friday, 5 to 8 pm and Saturday and Sunday, 9 am to 3 pm. Hope to see everyone there!
